Jaipur theatre artiste Asif Sher Ali Khan is quite excited about his role in the film Badlapur Boys. Asif, who keeps shuttling between Jaipur and Mumbai for his various roles in tele-series and films, claims that his role in the film is more than a blink-and-you-miss-it one.
“I play a railway employee, who organizes kabaddi matches at local level. He is also a match fixer.It’s not that big a role, but my character is important in the film, as I am responsible to adding to the misery of the lead actors in the film,” says Khan.
On being asked about how he got the role, he said that one of his friends had tipped him off. “I went and auditioned for the role when the crew was shooting in Jaipur,” he said. Khan has worked in television series like Upanishad Ganga and has also done a cameo in Dekho Indian Circus, where he played the role of an army officer.
